Napoleon III period

Stunning mantel garniture with a large central clock and a pair of candlesticks in bronze and green marble. The figural clock represents the goddess of Astronomy sitting on a remarkable bench, wearing an antique drapery and holding the celestal globe. The candlesticks are two women wraped in drapes holding a laurier crown and a trumpet, representing the Glory and the Fame. Beautifil gilt bronze ornements on the green and black marbe bases. Large chandeliers. The three pieces are signed for Moreau Ainé.
